Responding to the top safety issue of the Naval Aviation Enterprise, the Hypoxia Training Research & Development Team from the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division has developed the On-Demand Hypoxia Trainer-an innovative, enhanced-capability, mask-on device to address the dangers of physiological Episodes to aviation crewmen with the need for compressed gas. The team’s accomplishments in the fields of aeromedical and survival training directly impact Naval Aviation readiness and are a major contribution to the safety of Naval aircrews.
